WEEK 58
Yes. this week is called ¨Saving lifes... even of the animals!¨
This week has been good! I was super upset Sunday for our numbers we had last week (only 20 lessons in 1 week) so I put my big boy boots on and we have worked super hard this week! I love the mission and even more when I work hard. Things here are going well but I am interested to see what this next transfer has for me! I have been just looking for people who are interested in their salvacion and its been a tough run so far. But sweet experience. We had my 2nd mom (Mariluz) leave with us to some appointments and we were heading back from an appointment and right before we got to our house, we heard a little kitty meow. I was looking everywhere for it and we ended up finding it in the storm drain where the water falls and it had fallen and got stuck under the metal bars and it was to far to reach down. I told mariluz that we couldn't help it and she was like ¨Why did I have to hear it meow?!?!¨ she was heartbroken. Then next day we were walking to church and so I made the cat call ¨Mish mish¨ and right as we walked past the storm drain, i hear the faint little meow! The little kitty was still alive and stuck in the drain. We looked down, with there actually being sun out, and we saw it and I was like ¨We have to save my brother¨ (most people call me Elder Gato or Elder Cat because Garfield is hard for them.) So we put down a little branch from a tree and it was so cool! The cat was so smart and it bit the end of the branch and I pulled it out! Even if I don't have a bappy this transfer, I saved a life.... Of a cat! here is a pic! anyways! I am so grateful for the mish! I love it here so much! only 10 months and 1 week! So crazy! I love you and miss you all!Elder Garfield

WEEK 57
This week is called ¨Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do, whatcha gonna do when dey come for you.¨
Haha this week has been interesting. In our fight to find new investigators, we have some super interesting experiences. We received 2 references from 2 different members. The first one was a girl that was like 20 years old. We taught her once and didn't seem super interested. Yesterday we went to go teach her, she made eye contact with my comp and ran inside and locked her door. Super awkward. The other reference is a guy that like 70 years old and we got lost looking for him. We went and asked some ¨Tigres¨ (neighborhood hoodlum) and they told us that we need to be careful entering his house because he is like 50% blind and he might throw things at us if we enter unannounced. So that's what we got going for us right now ahah I hope to find more people! But I freaked out this week thinking about my time! I have hit the Bible and the LDM study super hard so that I can save a couple more people while I am here! But I am so grateful for my mission! It has been super difficult but more than anything, rewarding! I am so thankful for all the support that everyone sends me! Thanks for being such amazing family and friends! I love you all and miss you all so much! Have a great week!

Week 56
This week is called ¨We makin History man!¨
This week has been very rewarding! We have gotten 1 new investigator with a baptismal date (of course its a lady though) but I am still excited. Her name is Maritza (my 2nd!!) and she knows A TON about the bible so I am super excited to see her progress. Training has been good. Me and Elder Faalogo have been enjoying our time together and have been growing into better people and companions. We have a ton of fun speaking in gangster accents and making raps about missionary work. Haha he truly is my son. I have been studying a ton about the bible because if you don't have a large knowledge about the bible here, you aren't respected and you get bible bashed so you need to know how to reply! We have been contacting a lot to find new investigators (¨baptizing all your investigators¨ problems) But I have honestly been so grateful for the reward of the mission this week. I have seen so many blessing come from it! I love you and miss you all! Thanks for all the support! Have a great week!

WEEK 55
¨Domericano Love¨
This week has been awesome! I have seen so many amazing changes in the people who I have taught and met here on the mission. Last Sunday, Maria, and the 3 kids I baptized ALL PAID TITHING. And they were excited about it! I was so surprised! We have been looking for some new families to teach and its been tough. We have received a couple references from the members and we are hoping they progress. Something awesome that happened is that we taught Maria about the Temple and she wants to go and see whats its like! I was so happy and glad she wants to go! I am so grateful for all the many blessings I have received for being here and I am so lucky to have been able to serve in this amazing mission! I don't regret not even a little coming here and being here! I love you and miss you all so much! Have a great week!
